Efficient Appliances

Eco-friendly washing machines, refrigerators, air conditioners, dishwashers -- even computers and TVs -- can drastically cut costs while saving energy and water. According to the Natural Marketing Institute, Americans spent $86.7 billion buying such Energy Star-certified products in 2008; about $19 billion of that was spent on TVs.
